Finalists at the Education Awards 2017
The Irish Education Awards were held last night in the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin 4.
Another awards blog! We really are keeping busy lately, aren’t we?
The Education Awards recognise, encourage and celebrate excellence in third level education in Ireland from both State and privately funded institutions. And, as StudyOnline.ie were finalists for an award for Best Online Learning Experience we were looking forward to spending the night amongst colleagues in the education sector.
Attending the awards on behalf of StudyOnline.ie was Director Cathal McNamara and Cenit Group Managing Director Vaeni MacDonnell. Both were well suited and booted for what turned out to be a great night.
The event was well attended by many wonderful Universities, Colleges, Institutes and educators. We were honoured to be considered for an award alongside Trinity College, University of Ulster, University College Cork, Athlone Cork and Dublin Institutes of Technology amongst others.
Unfortunately, the award didn’t go to StudyOnline.ie. Instead, to our colleagues at the LINC Programme. A good victory and recognition for their hard work.
Here at StudyOnline.ie we are still very humbled to make it as a finalist at both the Irish Accountancy Awards and Education Awards 2017.
Other winners include:
Best Student Campus Award – University College Cork
Career Impact Strategy Award – Cork Institute of Technology
Best Education Outreach Award – Amgen Biotech Experience Ireland: Systems Biology Ireland
Student Engagement & Communications Award – Cork Institute of Technology
International College Achievement Award – Mary Immaculate College
Best Library Team – Dublin Business School
Business Collaboration Award – Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology & RPS Group
Best Marketing / Communications Team – Trinity College Dublin
Best Use of Educational Technology / ICT Initiative of the Year – School of Education, Ulster University
Overall Excellence in Education – School of Education, Ulster University
Congratulations to everyone!
Maybe next year we’ll have better luck.
Thank you once again to both the Irish Accountancy Awards and Education Awards, for hosting a great night.
